Fantasy Trade Lab ("we", "us") is a fantasy football analysis website. This page explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. In short: we only collect what we need to analyze the leagues you connect, we never sell your data, and you can remove it at any time.
What we collect
- Your account: username, email address and password. Passwords are stored only as a secure one-way hash; we can't see them.
- Leagues you connect: league settings and scoring rules, teams and rosters, draft picks, and completed trades, read from the fantasy platform you choose (ESPN, MyFantasyLeague, Sleeper, Fleaflicker or Yahoo).
- Platform sign-in keys: to update a private league without asking you every time, we keep the sign-in key
the platform gives your browser - for ESPN the
espn_s2andSWIDcookies, for MyFantasyLeague its login cookie, for Yahoo an access token. These are stored encrypted. We never ask for or store your platform passwords. - Things you do on the site: trades you log, settings you choose, and when you last visited.
The ESPN Sync browser extension
Our "Fantasy Trade Lab - ESPN Sync" extension for Chrome and Edge reads your ESPN sign-in cookies
(espn_s2 and SWID) only when you click "Connect my ESPN leagues" on our Connect ESPN
page, and sends them only to Fantasy Trade Lab. It does not read your ESPN password, your browsing history, or any other
website. We use the cookies only to read the ESPN fantasy leagues you connect.
How we use it
- To rate players under your league's scoring and suggest trades, waiver pickups and lineups.
- To keep your leagues updated when you click Resync.
- To run the site-wide trade leaderboard (your username and trade results are shown there).
- To send account emails you ask for, such as password resets.
We don't sell, rent or trade your data, and we don't use it for advertising profiles. Ads on the site are simple banners and don't track you.
Who else handles it
- Render - hosts the site and its database.
- Stripe - processes payments for advertisers.
- Google (Gmail) - sends our account emails.
- The fantasy platforms you connect - we read your leagues from them on your behalf.
Cookies on this site
We use only the cookies needed to keep you logged in and to protect forms (session and security cookies). No third-party tracking cookies.
Your choices
- Remove a league any time from its settings page; its data and any saved sign-in key are deleted.
- Revoke access on the platform's side too (for example by logging out of ESPN or removing our app in your Yahoo account settings).
- Delete your account - email us and we'll delete your account and everything connected to it.
Children
Fantasy Trade Lab isn't intended for anyone under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date above, and tell you on the site if the change is significant.
